“The I” explores the boundary between perception and inner transformation. It invites the viewer to confront the act of seeing — both outward and inward — while evoking the dreamlike space where vision becomes memory, symbol, consciousness. The eye and the cicada are brought together as archetypes of awareness and metamorphosis, framed in constantly evolving light.

A ceramic eye hovers above mirrors, embedded in epoxy resin and illuminated by both a LED strip and optical fibers. At its core rests a golden cicada on a parabolic mirror—this focal element draws attention inward, while the mirrored surfaces and dynamic lighting invite reflection and interactivity. The LED colors can change constantly and interact with sound, generating countless combinations of flowing light. The entire light system is controllable via smartphone, creating a responsive, multi-sensory experience.
